What each head-to-head firm comparison shows

Every page follows the same order, so you can move between pairs and compare like with like:

  • The checked facts side by side. A live table of both firms’ facts, each with the date we checked it. You can swap a firm or add a third.
  • Key differences. Accreditation, Doyle’s Guide listings, Queensland offices, firm type and published fee terms, stated plainly for each firm.
  • Which firm suits which need. For example, a QLS Accredited Specialist, an office in your region or fee terms you can read first.
  • About each firm. A short, neutral summary, with a link to the full firm profile and its sources.
  • How we compared them. The same scoring method for both firms, out of 100.

How we chose these firm pairs

Each pair is two firms that take on similar claims, and 51 of the 54 pairs share at least one Queensland region. We only add a pair when both firm profiles are complete and checked.

However, a pair is not a recommendation, and neither firm asked or paid to be compared. In fact, firms can’t pay for anything on this site, and Queensland law bans paying for injury claim referrals.

Your two firms aren’t listed?

Use the injury law firm comparison tool instead. It puts any two or three of the Queensland firms in our directory side by side, for any area and claim type. Alternatively, open a firm’s alternatives page to see 10 other firms in its area.

How to read a head-to-head firm comparison

  • First, check that both firms list your claim type. A firm that doesn’t handle it isn’t a real option, whatever its score.
  • Next, look at accreditation. A QLS Accredited Specialist in Personal Injuries Law has passed extra assessment, but other lawyers can still run claims well.
  • Then compare fees properly. Ask each firm for its written costs disclosure, because the score can’t tell you what you will pay.
  • Finally, treat the score as a starting point. It counts public records, not case results, so ask who will run your claim day to day.

Frequently asked questions

It is a page that sets two named Queensland injury law firms side by side on the same checked facts. These include QLS accreditation, Doyle’s Guide listings, published fee terms, offices and claim types. It also shows which firm meets which common need, so you can shortlist faster.

No. The score counts public records, such as accreditation and published fee terms. It cannot measure results in individual cases or how well a firm communicates. Therefore, use it to build a shortlist, then ask each firm who will run your claim and what it will cost.

No. Firms can’t choose, request or pay for a comparison. We pick pairs ourselves, and only when both profiles are complete. If a fact about a firm is wrong, the firm or anyone else can ask us to correct it, as set out in our editorial standards.

Open the injury law firm comparison tool and choose any two or three firms. It covers every Queensland firm in our directory, not just the 19 firms with head-to-head pages, and shows the same checked facts with their dates.
