Personal injury lawyer rankings by region and claim type (2026)
These personal injury lawyer rankings cover 67 Queensland lists: every region, the main claim types and two firm types. On our October 2026 scoring, each list ranks firms out of 100 on the same public records, such as QLS specialist accreditation and Doyle’s Guide listings. Scores don’t measure case results, and no firm can pay to move up.

How to use these personal injury lawyer rankings
First, pick the ranking that matches your situation. For example, if you were hurt in a car crash on the Gold Coast, start with the Gold Coast car accident ranking. Then open the profiles of two or three firms near the top. Finally, compare them side by side with our compare tool.
What personal injury lawyer rankings measure
Each firm gets up to 25 points for a Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialist in Personal Injuries Law, up to 20 for Doyle’s Guide listings and up to 20 for its Google rating. In addition, published fee terms, the range of claim types and the Queensland office network add points. Read the full formula on how we rank lawyers.
However, a score is a starting point, not a verdict. It cannot measure results in individual cases. So check each firm’s costs disclosure, ask who will handle your claim, and check the Queensland claim time limits.
How the rankings are organised
There are three kinds of list. Location rankings cover all of Queensland, the Queensland Government’s regions and the larger cities inside them. Claim-type rankings cover car accident, workers compensation, public liability, medical negligence, TPD, motorcycle, abuse and dust disease claims, statewide and for the bigger regions. Firm-type rankings show firms with a QLS Accredited Specialist, and independent Queensland-owned firms.
Each list shows the top firms by score, so a short list for a smaller region still compares like with like. A firm with offices in several regions appears in each of those lists, with the same facts. Every firm, including those outside a top list, is in the law firm directory, ranked the same way.
Where the facts come from
Every fact comes from a public record that we check and date. For example, we check accreditation on the QLS Register of Solicitors and firm identity on ABN Lookup. As a result, every ranking matches the firm profiles in our law firm directory.
