Our editorial team researches, writes and checks every page on this site. Each firm fact comes from a public record, and each legal rule links to Queensland legislation. Below you can see who does what, and how a page gets checked before it goes live.

Marshall Fenech, Editor

Marshall Fenech writes and fact-checks the firm profiles, rankings and claim guides. He checks each firm against the QLS Register of Solicitors, ABN Lookup, Doyle’s Guide and the firm’s own website. Then he records the date of every check.

Legal review

A Queensland-admitted solicitor will review our ranking format and claim guides. Once a page has had that review, it shows the reviewer’s name and the review date. Until then, pages say nothing about legal review, because we never claim a review that has not happened.

How our editorial team checks a page

First, every firm fact is matched to a public source and dated.
Next, legal rules are checked against legislation.qld.gov.au and the relevant regulator.
Then the ranking score is calculated from the checked facts, never by hand.
Finally, corrections are made within 5 business days and the check date is updated.
